MOVE NATIONAL DANCE COMPETITION
Welcome to MOVE! National Dance Competition, where passion, dedication, and artistry take centre stage! Our competition is designed to inspire dancers of all levels, providing a fair and encouraging environment that celebrates personal achievement and growth. At the Regional level, every dancer is judged based on their own performance, striving for the highest possible mark without direct comparison to others. This unique system ensures that all competitors earn their status in either Bronze, Silver, or Gold—based on their own merit, setting the stage for an electrifying Nationals where the most outstanding performers will compete for top honours.
MOVE NATIONAL’S FINAL
This prestigious event represents the pinnacle of the competitive season, where dancers who have qualified throughout the Regional Events, take to the National stage to perform at the highest level.
Dancers have the opportunity to be selected to represent South Africa at the prestigious MOVE NATIONAL’S FINALS! A true honour that recognises excellence, dedication and performance at the highest level.
PERFORMANCE STATUS
In the Regionals there will be NO COMPARING of competitors. They are all dancing for the highest mark possible and will earn their status with the mark that they receive for their performance.

At Nationals all competitors will compete against each other and will be compared for the overall awards within their divisions and age categories
AGE DIVISIONS
Ages are determined based on the dancer’s age on January 1st of the competition year.
MINI : 6 years & Under | 7 – 8 years JUNIOR : 9-10 years | 11 -12 years
TEEN : 13 – 14 years | 15 – 16 years SENIOR : 17 years & over
ADULT: 30 years & over
